Tap to Wake up your iPhone locked screen using pre-enabled features, Just tap on the screen to wake up and see the recent notification, Messages and missed a call, Open camera (Swipe left on the lock screen), Find Today View, and more. For that, we must activate the screen, prior to iPhone these facilities invoke by the press on the home button once. But today we can Wake up iPhone X or Later screen by Tap to the Wake function.
It doesn’t matter iPhone is in your hand or stay on your desk or other docking station. Personally, I am using this feature to know right time from my iPhone.
Obviously, this feature will consume more power like Raise to wake up.
How to turn off the Tap to Wake feature on your iPhone

iOS 13 and later: How to turn off the Tap to Wake feature on your iPhone
- Open the Settings App
- Tap Accessibility
- Next scroll the screen tap Touch
- on the touch setting screen, turn toggle of next to the tap to wake.
iOS 12 or Earlier users- Steps for Turn on or Turn off Tap to Wake for iPhone X
- Go to the Settings app on iPhone X.
- Tap General
- Find the Accessibility option and go inside it.
- Next to the Accessibility
- Turn toggle Tap to Wake OFF/White.
Disable Tap to Wake option.
Turn on Wakeup screen while a touch on the screen, follow the steps above and Enable “Tap to Wake” toggle.

- Your iPhone X is not switched off
