How to put the iPhone on Vibrate without Switch

There are two ways to enable Vibrate without using Switch on the iPhone, as far as I’ve tested and both worked for me. However, before enabling the Silence mode, your iPhone must have Vibrate on Silent turned on, otherwise, the iPhone will not vibrate and will stay dumb.

Way 1: Using Volume Buttons/Settings

Its the easiest and quickest option to put the iPhone in Vibrate without even using the button. Press and hold the Volume Down button until the volume slider switches to low. Also, if the volume buttons aren’t working, then here’s how it can be done from settings.

  1. Open the Settings.
  2. Scroll down and tap Sounds.
  3. Drag the Slider of Ringer and Alerts to the left side.

Way 2: Using Assistive Touch

AssistiveTouch brings numerous features on fingertips, you don’t need to get hard to capture a screenshot, adjust sound levels, or put the iPhone to vibrate mode. Make sure the AssistiveTouch is enabled on your iPhone and then we can arrange this facility.

  1. Open Settings > Accessibility > Turn On AssistiveTouch.
    • For iOS 12 or earlier, go to the Settings > General > Accessibility > Enable AssistiveTouch.
  2. Or say “Hey Siri, Turn on AssistiveTouch”.

Then, to add the Mute/Unmute button to the AssistiveTouch, stay on the same AssistiveTouch Settings window, and choose Customize Top Level Menu and tap (+) to add buttons and then Add Mute/Unmute.

Whenever you want to put the iPhone in silent mode, then tap on the AssistiveTouch and then on Mute/Unmute or if it doesn’t appear, then tap on AssistiveTouch > Device > Mute/Unmute.
