At that time we were interpreting that this controller will work with Apple TV. But then it turns out that you can also pair DualShock 4 and Xbox One S controller to iPad and iPhone in iOS 13.

Already there are gamers that played the games with MFi–certified controllers on iPhone and iPad. Now, it seems like no one will care for other controllers, as DualShock 4 and Xbox One S are best when it comes to playing games and likely to be found in every house. After pairing the controller with the iPhone and iPad, you can begin with your favorite game.

How to Pair DualShock 4 controller with iOS 14/iOS 13 on iPhone and iPad

There is no app added to support these gaming controllers, simply it can be paired by using the Bluetooth in your iPhone and iPad.

Step #1: Open the “Settings” app on your iOS 13 or later iPhone and iPad.

Step #2: Select “Bluetooth”.

Step #3: Bring your PlayStation DualShock 4 controller and start Pairing. Press and hold the “Share” and “PlayStation” button until light flashes white.

Step #4: On your Bluetooth Settings screen, PS4 will appear in the list.

Step #5: Tap on it to start Pairing the DualShock 4 Controller.

How to Pair Xbox One S controller with iOS 13 on iPhone and iPad

Xbox One S controller is also paired to iPhone 11(Pro Max)/SE/ XR/XS Max/XS and iPad with the same method as above.

Step #1: Navigate to the “Settings” app.

Step #2: Go to “Bluetooth”.

Step #3: Now, turn on the Xbox One S controller by pressing the “Xbox” button.

Step #4: Press the “Connect” button which is located on the top of the controller, this will put the controller in the pairing mode.

Step #5: Check your iPhone/iPad Bluetooth screen and tap when you see “Xbox Wireless Controller” to start pairing.

Step #1: Launch the “Settings” app.

Step #2: Tap “Bluetooth”.

Step #3: Next to your controller, tap on (i).

Step #4: Tap “Forget this device”.

Step #5: Confirm it by hitting “OK”.

Otherwise, instead of unpairing the controller, simply disconnect it from the iPhone and iPad. That will also save the battery and you don’t have to pair the controller and iPhone again and again.
