It’s about time; Microsoft is going to introduce a new Xbox App to stream the Xbox One games right on the iPhone, by downloading the Xbox App. As of right now, the Xbox app is available in the beta, sort of it is under development and testing, however, the sooner or later the Xbox App will be launched in the App Store for the public. As stated by The Verge, there is no relation between Microsoft xCloud Streaming Service and the Xbox App. Microsoft xCloud Streaming Service notably allows you to stream the Xbox Games from the Servers, without the need to have the Xbox Console. Whereas, the on Xbox App you can remotely play games from the Xbox Console to the iPhone.
The purpose behind the Xbox App is to make everything remote; Microsoft may have planned to let you control the console using the Xbox App from the iPhone. Using the app, you can power on the Xbox Console, the iPhone will use the Wi-Fi, LTE, or 5G connections to connect with the Xbox Console, so there won’t be any problem with the connectivity.
Besides, the same app is already launched for Android phones a few days back, and it looks like the same interface and features they’re adding into the iOS App. Plus, the Xbox App would be your easy stop to download the games, share the game clips, screenshots, or manage storage as well as deleting the games, on any of the compatible Xbox consoles, such as Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
However, Microsoft has not yet declared the release date for the Xbox App, but as per the chatters and rumors, anytime they will push to the App Store and we’ll try our best to keep you informed about each and every update. Currently, the app is under testing with the TestFlight members.
Despite the conflicts between Apple and Microsoft, they have decided to bring the Xbox App on the App Store.
