Reset Face ID or Turn off Unlock Using Face ID

  • Reset Face ID

Step #1: Navigate to the “Settings” app.

Step #2: Tap “Face ID & Passcode”.

Step #3: Tap “Reset Face ID”.

  • iPhone Unlock Disable Using Face ID

Go to the Settings app on your iPhone > Face ID & Passcode > Under the Use Face ID for “Disable iPhone unlock option” toggle. Now Require Passcode has more Duration option, Follow the below steps.

NOTE: If you do not reset the Face ID then you cannot extend the auto lock time in iPhone.

Change iPhone XR Lock Immediately to Hours

Once you remove/reset Face ID, you can turn off auto lock in iPhone XR. Follow the steps and disable auto-lock in iPhone XR.

Step #1: Launch “Settings” app.

Step #2: Tap “Face ID & Passcode”.

Step #3: Select “Require Passcode”.

Step #4: Next, tap on “After 4 hours”.

There are different options available like Immediately, After 1 minute, After 5 minutes etc. By default Immediately is selected, which means your iPhone will be lock immediately when you press the Side Button. After 1 minute option will lock your iPhone after 1 minute once you press the Side Button and so on. For your convenience select After 4 hours, so that the iPhone will not get locked until 4 hours and after 4 hours gets completed the device will maintain its safety.

Note: we are not recommending disabling or turning off Auto lock screen on iPhone. But somehow we need to do that like Airdrop Failed when iPhone has locked automatically and more.
