How to use Escape button on MacBook pro – Touch Bar [Customize]

New MacBook Pro Touch Bar has complete use of new hardware called Touch Bar that compatible controls or manage all apps and options on it. Here, I am talking about Esc button on the traditional keyboard now available on Touch Bar. Here I define, how to use virtual Esc key on New MacBook pro 15 inch and 13 inches.

People are experienced: Other control on touch bar overlapped “Esc” button. How to show or Reappears ESC button on touch bar again, anytime.

Tap on ‘x‘ or Done button on Touch Bar screen to reset your Touch Bar screen and Reappear ESC button on Touch Bar. See the screenshot below,

Esc button not working or Not Showing: Use another key as Esc

Use Alternate key as an ESC button on MacBook pro touch bar.

Primarily ESC button use for Force quite an app on Mac. Here we have alternate techniques for force quite app on Mac.

Mac allows the user to customize essential modifiers keys on Keyboard (Caps lock, Escape, Option, Command). In all of four keys, Caps lock is not more important than others. 

So, I recommended replacing Caps lock key with Esc key.

#1 Choose Apple menu on the Mac menu bar, Go to System Preferences.

#2 Under System Preference, Find Keyboard

#3 Click on Modifier keys option,

After making changes, Caps lock key work like Esc key on MacBook Pro Keyboard.

Press Ok.

Alternate Way to Force Quit app Without Esc key on MacBook Pro

Go to the Apple Menu > Force Quit. Choose the app, from the window that we want close entirely on screen.

Keyboard Shortcut For force Quite app after change Modifier key: Shift + Option + Command + Esc.

Otherwise Default Shortcut is: Shift + Option + Command + Esc.

Force Restart MacBook pro: Press and Hold touch ID until your Mac screen off.
