Similarly, Touch Accommodation is also for the challenged peoples who are facing motor delays and might not be able to use the device properly.
If you have enabled Touch Accommodations or VoiceOver on the iPhone, the same will be enabled automatically in the HomePod while setting up..Or if it is not enabled on iPhone or iPad then you can manually turn on or off anytime in the Home App. So let’s check out how to do so.

How to toggle on VoiceOver for HomePod
- Step 1: Go to “Home” App.
- Step 2: Click on “Rooms” tab which is located in the bottom middle of the screen.
- Step 3: Open up the room that consists your HomePod.
- Step 4: Press and hold on HomePod tab.
- Step 5: Tap on “Details”.
- Step 6: Find “Accessibility” and open it.
- Step 7: Click on “VoiceOver” to turn off or on.
There you can also adjust speaking rate, toggle audio ducking and double tap timeout as per your choice.
How to Toggle on Touch Accommodation for HomePod
- Step 1: Launch the “Home” app.
- Step 2: Click on the “Room” tab.
- Step 3: Find the “Room” that contains your HomePod.
- Step 4: Press on the HomePod until details appear on the screen.
- Step 5: Tap on “Details”.
- Step 6: Click on “Accessibility “and scroll down until you find “Touch Accommodations”.
- Step 7: Tap on “Accommodations” and turn it off or on.
As per your desire, you can set duration, tap assistance and ignore repeat.
