You didn’t record video using VR camera and recorded through Custom camera rings. You must prepare video in to correct format, at first. Then Follow the straight forward steps explained below and Upload VR Video to YouTube for watch on iPhone/ Android apps.
Pre Requisite: Mac with OS X Lion, EI Capitan and Yosemite or updated. Windows PC running on Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10. Cardboard or VR headset for batter viewing or feel like you there on place or in game.
Original Video’s display aspect ratio must be 16:9, Video Resolution 3840 x 2160. So your result video appears like horizontally stretched (Panorama Video). Choose maximum bitrates (150Mbps) before you upload to YouTube. I recommended Best VR camera recorder, no more editing (Cut or Crop). Directly upload to YouTube.
Note: Take back up of your original video before convert to VR video, it hence that “360 Video Metadata app” save new video at original place (Replaced old video).
Prepare video or Upload VR Video to YouTube from Mac or PC
Step 1: Download 360 Video Metadata for Mac or Windows.
Step 2: Unzip file and Run from right lick on it > Open. For prevent from unidentified developer.
Step 3: Once you open App on Mac, Shown below video settings option. Click on Open and Brows video saved on drive.
Choose Spherical (VR view) and 3D Top button (Desktop user can see VR video effect using 3D button) checkbox.
Save video.
After Successful converted or saved to your drive, successfully saved message will be appeared on box.
Now, Open your YouTube video manager and upload video. Finally Publish and Wait from YouTube. (3D or VR effect on your video may take an hour).
