Permanently Disable/ Stop iTunes backup during sync for iPhone/ iPad
On Mac
Close iTunes at first,
1: Go to the Apple menu from top right corner.
2: Click on System Preference; Find “Terminal” or Type Terminal in Spotlight search.
3: Type the command below,
defaults write com.apple.iTunes DeviceBackupsDisabled -bool true
Tap enter to run command, Now Auto backup stop automatically on Sync with iTunes.
Turn on Auto backup again, and then go with below command,
defaults write com.apple.iTunes DeviceBackupsDisabled -bool false
On Windows
Open command prompt, Depends on 32 or 64 Bit system run below command,
For 32 bit:
“C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe” /setPrefInt AutomaticDeviceBackupsDisabled 1
For 64 bit:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\iTunes.exe” /setPrefInt AutomaticDeviceBackupsDisabled 1
