These Steps are tested with MacOS Monterey, MacOS Catalina, High Sierra, EI Capitan, OS X Yosemite.
Step 1: Open Mail app on Mac /OR/ Search Mail in Spotlight search.
Step 2: From the top menu Under the Mail > Preferences…
From Top General Tab, Choose time interval from Check new message, Never, Every Minute, Every five minutes, Every hour, Every Thirty-minute.
Note: are you changing the time interval due to some disappointing settings like notification sound and any reason. Then share with us, we are happy to assist you.
