Two powerful rear cameras back the phone, one of which is wide and the other is ultra-wide. Both the rear cameras have night mode for both photos and videos. iPhone 12 runs on ios 14 and comes with inbuilt apps like Safari, Facetime, Messages and Weather.

The iPhone 12 was unveiled for the first time on October 13, 2020, at an Apple special event held virtually because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The pre-orders for iPhone 12 started on October 16, and the phone was available in most countries, including the USA, UK, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, on October 23, 2020. In India, the iPhone 12 was available from October 30, 2020. 

The iPhone 12 received a lot of praises from critics as well as users. For example, the American technology news website The Verge called the iPhone 12 a beautiful, powerful and capable device.
