  1. Patience is the name of the game. I spent most of my weekend trying to resolve a seemingly stuck Catalina installation. Finally I just gave up and left it on the Apple logo screen with ‘Estimating time remaining..’ and a suspiciously slow progress bar. 2 days later and I came home to find the installation finished successfully. There seems to be an issue with time machine snapshots even if time machine is not enabled. I’m not even going to delve into this because my assumption is that Apple will resolve it by the next Beta release and we’ll forget it ever existed.
