macOS 16 beta will be available in June 2025, following the day of WWDC 2025. This early release will allow users to explore new features while testing the system. Apple is rolling out early software betas to help developers ensure their apps run smoothly when the full operating system becomes available for download in the fall.

The process of downloading the latest macOS 16 beta on your Mac is as simple as visiting Apple’s developer website.

Get the Developer Profile. dmg file package, or follow the steps below if you have a developer account.

  • Tips: Without Developer Account Download MacOS Developer Package file. Don’t have a developer account and want to install macOS [134kb file size], then Request your Friends or Get help from the forum to get macOS Profile and install it on your Mac. We can’t share macOS profiles because of privacy reasons.

Visit developer.apple.com on your Mac > Click on the Develop tab > Click on the Downloads tab > Log in with your developer account > Scroll down and click on the Download button for macOS. The file will automatically download to your Mac.

3: When the installer is finished downloading, the Mac App Store will automatically open to the Updates section. Click Update to download and install the developer beta software to your Mac. After the software Beta has been downloaded then your Mac (MPB, MBA, MacMini) will automatically restart.

4: If the latest developer beta does not appear on the Updates list, restart your Mac. Then, open the Mac App Store and click the Updates tab.

The developer beta update can take a considerable amount of time to finish downloading, depending on its size. You can check the status in the Updates tab of the Mac App Store.

How to install the macOS 16 Developer beta

After macOS is finished downloading, you will be prompted to install the software automatically.

Click on Continue > Agree to Apple’s Terms and Conditions then Click on Install > Follow the instructions to install macOS.

Your Mac will reboot to install macOS. You will see a black screen with the Apple logo and a progress bar.

Grab a cup of tea while waiting for the software to install.

How to install the MacOS Beta on a Partition

To prevent your Mac’s data and documents from being ruined or lost through a beta operating system, you can partition your Mac’s hard drive to run macOS in tandem with your current operating system.

Now, if you haven’t already done so, generate a partition on your Mac. > Select Continue when the download is finished and ready to install > Agree to the terms > Click Agree to confirm that you have read the terms.

Select “Show All Disks” to switch to your main partition.

Select the partition you wish to install the Software ON > Click Install > the installation helper will allow you to transfer information from your current operating system, or you could choose to do a clean installation to start your Mac from scratch.

How to get started with the macOS developer Beta

Once your Mac reboots, You’ll be set up with macOS 16. To get started, you’ll need to follow a few steps.

Click on Continue > Sign in with your Apple ID and Password. iCloud will sync your desktop and other files > Click on Get Started.

You’ll be heading for your Home screen where you can start digging around to find all of the magic new features of macOS.
