Being an Apple user, especially with iPhone, we have a lot of restrictions unlike Android phones, iPhone doesn’t have any native feature to hide photos on iPhone as well as to hide the Photos App on iPhone iOS 15 or other versions. Though, you can try various alternatives that don’t need you to download any extra app but using the built-in trickeries.

Hide Photos App into App Library: Move to App Library
The App Library is the latest add-on in the iOS 15 or later devices therefore make sure your iPhone is running iOS 15 or later.
App Library targets to remove the unwanted applications from the home screen, that’ll be great to access the applications that you need in daily routine, rather swiping the home screen to find the apps.
So how does it help you to hide the photos app? Well, if the Photos app is stored in the App Library, but not on the Home Screen, it takes few minutes for an unknown person to locate the Photos app, unless the Spotlight Search for the Photos app is disabled, which we’ll do it in the next step.
- Touch and hold the Photos app, and choose Remove App.
- Tap Remove from Home Screen.
- Now, the Photos app is moved to iPhone app library.

Move back Photos app to Home Screen, With the Simple Steps. after that, we can Open and Use Photos app just like other apps on your iPhone/iPad Home screen.
- Go to the “App Library” page on your iPhone screen. And See the App Category Group “Creativity“.
- Now, Tap on and Hold on Photos app icon > “Add to Home screen”.

Hide Photos App in App Folder (App Library)
App Folders are the most convenient option to organize the applications on the iPhone home screen. Like, all the social applications including Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc. could be stored into an App Folder named Social Apps. This can be done for Utilities Apps, Shopping Apps, Entertainment apps, etc.
I’ve one suggestion for you, simply create an App folder with 5-6 apps and in the same app folder, move the Photos app. Doing this can confuse anyone finding the Photos app.
Touch and hold the Photos app, and drag it onto another application. This will automatically create a new App Folder.
Hide Photos App from Search
We never delete Photos app from iPhone or iPad, Because Photos app has thousands of memories. So we can only hide and Unhide the Photos app from the iPhone home screen. After the Hide Photos app, Using the below steps we can prevent access photos app using Search [Spotlight Search on iPhone or iPad].
Both the above ways to hide the photos app are great, but incomplete until you hide Photos app from search. Otherwise, a wiser person may navigate to the Spotlight search to open the Photos app real quick.
