Screen Time was introduced last year to reduce the mobile usage of your kids, right from your iPhone.

However, Started from iOS 13.3 has handed more opportunity to you like you can set Communication Limits, with whom your kid can contact, who can reach your kid, etc. It allows you to set the Communication Limits for the whole day and even when the iPhone is in Downtime Mode.

Step #4: Open the “Communication Limits”. Where you can set limits based on your Kid’s contacts.
Step #5: Multiple options are available such as,

1: During Allowed Screen Time:- Here you can limit with who your kid can communicate in allowed screen time. Choose from “Everyone” and “Contacts Only”, whichever suits you.

  • Limit Communications to people in Joseph’s contacts during allowed screen time. Joseph will no be able to edit contacts.
  • Group Communication: Allow introductions in Grop option allow people to be added to Group conversations when one of Joseph’s Contacts or a Family Member is in the group Joseph can add these people to contacts.

Note: Once you set Communication Limit as per the above instructions, your kid cannot edit the Contacts.

2: During Downtime:- Limit your kid communication during downtime or even app limits have already expired. Again two options are available “Everyone” and “Specific Contacts”.

  • Specific Contacts you can select from your Phone app,
  • Joseph’s contacts
  • Add New Contact for Joseph.

3: Manage Contacts:- Besides, you can also Manage your kid’s iPhone contacts right from your iPhone. Once you turn on Manage Contacts option, iCloud will take some time to sync contacts with your iPhone. Under iCloud Contacts, you can manage them.

4: Allow Contact Editing:- If you don’t want to permit “Contact Editing” to the kid, then disable it.

We can Quickly Turn of Stop Restriction for Communications limit under the settings app with the option Turn off Screen Time.
