Podcast chapters are a great way to navigate long episodes and skip to the segments that interest you most. On iPhone and iPad, the Apple Podcasts app supports chapters for shows that include them, making it easier to jump between topics without scrubbing blindly.
In this article, we’ll show you how to find and use podcast chapters on your iOS device, so you can get the most out of every episode with just a few taps.
Tip to Use Podcast Chapters on Your iPhone and iPad
- Launch “Podcasts” and select your favorite episode.
- Scroll down to the end of the current Podcast page.
- Locate “Chapters,” which is below “Description.”
- If any episode currently continues, then select the new chapter to open it immediately.
- After selecting a new chapter, press the “Play” button to start the podcast.
Below the currently playing chapters, you will find a list of all chapters released and aired by the Podcast; tap to switch sections.
The purple equalizer indicates the current podcast. When the Podcast starts, on the main screen, you will find the chapter name and number of the currently playing podcast, as well as the podcast’s name and the date it was released, all in purple color.
