Good news for the angry people who have always had a problem with Siri, because Siri doesn’t understand what you say. Now, Apple uses Workflow, which serves as an intermediate bridge to create a custom shortcut that defines a specific task for you. Here, I show you how to create or resolve Siri Shortcuts issues on your iPhone and iPad using the latest iOS.
Let’s explore options based on the past. Turn on Siri by pressing the Side button, use “Hey Siri” to wake it up, and speak naturally. Use Type to Siri – Use a command by speaking or typing from the keyboard, or correct it. Now Create Custom Siri Shortcuts for use with apps, open a Browser, Make Calls, Send Messages, and much more.
If Siri Shortcuts are not working on your iPhone, try these solutions:
✅ Quick Fixes:

Fix 2: Check Siri Settings
- Go to Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri or Siri & Search
- Ensure ‘Listen for “Hey Siri“‘ is enabled (Talk & Type to Siri > ‘Hey Siri’)

Enable other toggle options if needed.
Fix 4: Update iOS
Go to Settings > General > Software Update
Install the latest iOS version.

Sometimes the shortcut file may be corrupted. Delete and rebuild it using the Shortcuts app.
Fix 6: Check App Permissions
If a shortcut involves other apps, ensure those apps have the right permissions under Settings > [App Name].
Fix 7: Reset Siri & Dictation
Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Keyboard Dictionary
Fix 8: Reset All Settings(as last resort)
Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset All Settings
(This won’t delete your data, but will reset Wi-Fi, keyboard, layout, etc.)
