Note: This steps are only valid when your phone is connected to CarPlay

  1. Go to the Settings App on your iPhone.
  2. Hit Notifications. 
  3. From the list of apps, select the app for which you want to turn off notifications.

From now on, the text notification will stop showing on Apple CarPlay. But, if you don’t mind turning off all app notifications, you can turn Do Not Disable while driving to mute all the messages. 

This feature will turn on CarPlay for using navigation, answering calls, and answering text messages while also muting the notifications. The best part is that you can also configure predefined “Auto Reply” to instantly reply when you’re getting a call on your headset.

Steps to turn off Apple CarPlay altogether on iPhone

One of the drawbacks of CarPlay is that it doesn’t require any permission, even when connected to someone else’s Car.   2. Search and select General.
  3. Tap CarPlay.
