Fix 1: Hard Restart iPhone

For iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, X, XS, XS Max, XR or later:
Step #1: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button.

For iPhone 7 and 7 Plus:
Step #1: Together hold down the Volume Down button and Power button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

Fix 2: Disable/Enable iMessage
Alternatively, you can disable the iMessage from the iPhone. Once you disable iMessage from iPhone, it will disconnect from your device. Moreover, to be precise hard restart the iPhone after disabling it and then follow the same steps to enable.
Step #1: Launch the “Settings” app.
Step #2: Scroll down and tap “Messages”.
