Step #4: Hold down the Side button for 3 seconds.

Step #5: Next, press and hold Volume Down button and do not lift a finger from the Side button. Press both Volume down button and Side button for 10 seconds. If you see Apple logo on screen, then repeat the step 4 and 5.

Step #6: Continue holding the Volume down button for more than 5 seconds. If you see Plugin iTunes type of screen in iPhone, then you have to repeat steps 4-6, because the process failed.

Step #7: When the iPhone is successfully in DFU mode the iPhone screen will remain black. Besides, the PC will show that iTunes has detected the device.

Step #8: Now all you have to do it follow the on-screen prompts and complete the process.
