Luckily, on your Mac, you can now add the Clock Widget to the Desktop, and the advantage of adding the Desktop is convenience and immediacy. If the Clock Widget is on the Desktop, you can quickly glance at it without launching any app. Here’s how you can add Clock Widget to your Mac Desktop. Add, Remove & Update Default Cities in Clock Widget & World Clock
To add the Clock Widget to your Mac desktop, firstly, ensure your device is updated to macOS Sonoma & later. For this, you can read our guide on how to update your Mac.
Ways to add Clock Widget to Mac Desktop
There are two ways to add a Clock Widget to your Mac desktop: one using the Right-click and another using Notification Center. We have covered both of them.
Way 1: Using Right Click
1→ Right-click (Option + Click) anywhere on your Mac desktop. Select Edit Widgets… to open the Widget Gallery.

2→ Now, click on the Clock Widget from the left pane.

3→ From the right side, select the Clock Widget Style of your preference. Upon clicking will automatically move to your Mac desktop. Alternatively, you move over the Widget (Clock Widget in 3 Styles, City Widget in 3 Styles, and World Clock Widget in 2 Styles) and click Green + Icon or simply drag and drop it to your Desktop.

Way 2: Using Notification Center
1→ Click on Date and Time next to the Control Center in the menu bar.
2→ Click on the Edit Widgets Button at the bottom to open the Widget Gallery.
3→ Now, click on the Clock Widget from the left pane.
4→ From the right side, select the Clock Widget Style of your preference. Upon clicking will automatically move to your Mac desktop. Alternatively, you move over the Widget and click Green + Icon or simply drag and drop it to your Desktop.
How to Change Default Cities in World Clock Widget on Mac
The default highlighted Cities in Clock Widget are Cupertino, Tokyo, Sydney, and Paris. Here are the steps to change it.
1→ Right-click (Option + Click) on Clock Widget.
2→ From the prompt, select Edit “Clock.”

3→ Select City.

4→ Enter the name of City and select it.

5→ Lastly, select Done.

How to Reorder in World Clock in Widget Mac
If you’ve multiple cities in your clock widget and want to reorder it as your preference, right-click on Clock-Widget and select Edit Widgets…After this, swap up or down the cities.

Then select the Done button at the right-top corner to save changes.
How to Remove Clock Widget from your Mac Desktop
If you no longer need a Clock Widget, removing it is handy. For this, right-click on the Clock Widget and select Remove Widget.
